Strawberry Custard Verrine

Strawberry Custard Verrine
(Verrine are layered desserts in a small glass)

Ingredients:

1. Milk – 1 cup
2. Custard powder – 2 tbsp
3. Sugar – 3 tsp (Adjust sweetness according to your taste)
4. Strawberry – 5 to 6 numbers
5. Gelatin – 1 tbsp
6. Sugar – 3 tsp

For Custard
Method:

1. Mix custard powder in 1/4 cup milk, mix well and keep aside.
2. Heat the remaining milk with sugar, bring it to a boil and then add the custard powder milk mixture to it.
3. Stir continuosly so that no lumps are formed. This will thicken up soon, so keep stirring.
4. When the mixture starts bubbling and looks thickened (if you pour, it should not run) switch off.
5. Allow it to cool down completely.

For Strawberry
Method:

1. Cut the strawberry into tiny pieces.
2. Put them in a pan, add sugar and cook till the strawberries are tender.
3. Refrigerate it.
4. Take the gelatin in a bowl, add some boiling water, and stir continuosly for about 1 min.
5. After the strawberries are chill, mix with the gelatin mixture and again refrigerate it, untill it sets.

To Assemble the Verrine:
1. Add 2 tbsp of prepared vanilla custard alternating it with 2 tbsp of Strawberry Mixture till it reaches the brim of the glass.
2. Decorate with cut strawberries on top.
3. Serve chilled.
