Bread Jamoon – November Contest

Bread Jamoon – November Contest

Bread Jamoon:

This is a different variant of Gulab Jamoon. Usually we do sweets with the normal bread or Maida bread. For a difference, I made it using wheat bread. The outcome was stunning.
Wheat bread – 10 slices
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Milk – 3/4 cup
Cardamom – 2
Oil – To deep fry
1. Make the bread into crumbs using a mixer or in hand itself will be fine. I used the sides of the bread too.
2. Add milk to the crumbs little by little and make it into dough(as the roti dough). The dough should be very soft.
3. Make small balls with the dough
4. Deep fry the ball in oil until it is golden brown.
5. Remove excess oil from the fried balls and put it into the sugar syrup.
6. Let it be in the syrup for 2 hours.
7. Bread Jamoon is ready to be served and enjoyed.
8. It tastes too good the next day.
Sugar Syrup :
Dissolve the sugar in little water. Keep it in flame and let it boil. Add Cardamom for flavor. Let it boil until ½ sting consistency is reached.
The dough should be very soft.
Do not make the balls very tight.

Contestant name – Gracelin, age – 33 , location – Chennai and the festive occasion – Can be done for any festival . I did this during Diwali.
